I guess I first became aware of it before I even started school since Dad had it lying around (He's a rabid Rumiko Takahashi fan), but I think I actually started watching it when I was seven or eight (when I could read the subtitles quickly enough myself), I also read the manga right around then (Why I was in the accelerated reading class in Elementary school. Thanks Early VIZ manga and Rapid-fire VHS fansubbs!)

I think it was like 2nd year of secondary school and a friend had downloaded the first couple of episodes for us to watch and I was hooked since then XD
